Sunday, October 8th, 1995, seventeen people gathered in the family room of Pastor Dan & Ronda Whisner’s home for the first service of a brand new church. Within a few weeks our church outgrew that space (there were sixty eight people packed in the family room and overflowing to the kitchen and other rooms before moving to a new place). We then rented space in a local Bingo hall, then moved to an elementary school. When our church was ten months old, we purchased a large gymnasium building from the Chapel Hill Golf Course in the burg of Bangs.
Our church family is made up of people and families from many different backgrounds who have a committed, unified love for one another and our community.
Beginning in 2018, after twenty-two years of faithful service and leadership, Pastor Dan transitioned to pastor emeritus, and his son, Jon, became the senior pastor.
