Have you ever wondered…

Why am I here?
Is God Real?
What is my purpose on earth?
Where will I go when I die?
Why am I so unhappy?
Does Heaven and Hell exist?

…the answers to all of these questions are found in the Bible, God’s Word.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one.

When you were born, you were born in sin. You were born with a “sin nature.” Because of sin, a great gulf is fixed between God and man. You cannot get to Heaven based on being a good person – because in and of yourself there is nothing good. (Isaiah 64:6, Romans 7:18)

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Every person that has ever been born on this earth, except Jesus Christ, has sinned. There are no perfect saints or religious leaders that were born with or that have attained sinless perfection.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world,
and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men for that all have sinned.

The Bible says that because Adam, the first created being, chose to sin against God, his sin cursed all of mankind. Even if your parents or grandparents knew God or were saved – that does not mean that you inherit salvation from them. You have to have a personal salvation experience between you and God and no one else can do that for you.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death:
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Because God is Holy, sin could not go unnoticed or unpunished. Sin must be paid for and the price of sin is death. God’s law says that blood must be shed and death must take place for sins to be forgiven (Hebrews 9:22). But God is not only Holy, God is Love (I John 4:8). And because God loves mankind so much, He gave His only son, Jesus, to die in our place to pay for our sin debt (John 3:16).

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us,
in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9 If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus,
and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:13 Whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.

Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to receive salvation (John 14:6). You cannot be saved or earn your salvation by going to church, being religious, attempting to obey the Ten Commandments, giving to the poor or living sacrificially. Although each of those are good virtues to pursue and live by, none of those things can save you. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone.

If you are hungry for God and are truly sorry for your sin, then pray this simple prayer:

“Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I do believe that Jesus died for me in order to pay my sin debt; I confess my sins and repent of my sins, and I trust Jesus now as my Savior. From this moment on, I will depend on Jesus for my salvation.”
